Bryce Courtenay's New Award
Bryce Courtenay celebrated his 75th Birthday with a party at the Sydney Opera House. There were tributes from Bryce's friends and family including Penguin Publishing Director, Robert Sessions, as well as messages from British explorer Robert Swan and advertising guru Alex Hamill. A new award in Bryce's honour was also unveiled on the night, The Power of One - Bryce Courtenay's Australian Hero Award. This will be an annual award which recognises the achievements of an unsung hero.
